Three real options exist near Grand Teton: Colter Bay Tent Village, canvas tent cabins inside the park at Jackson Lake, about $105 a night; Fireside Resort, log cabins a few miles from Jackson; and Teton Peaks Resort, glamping tents on the Idaho side of Teton Pass, about an hour from Jackson. A property sometimes listed as "Under Canvas Grand Teton" does not exist; a proposed site in Teton Valley was rejected by local planners in 2020 and Under Canvas has never operated one. Is There an Under Canvas at Grand Teton?
No. Under Canvas runs glamping camps near several national parks, including one near Yellowstone's west entrance, but it has never operated a site at Grand Teton. A proposed "Under Canvas Teton" project in Teton Valley, Idaho went to a planning and zoning hearing in 2020 and was turned down after local opposition; it was never built. If you see the name listed as a current Grand Teton option, treat it as outdated. Under Canvas's current list of camps does not include one anywhere near Jackson Hole.

Colter Bay Tent Village
This is the only option actually inside the park, run by the Grand Teton Lodge Company on the shore of Jackson Lake at Colter Bay, about 25 miles north of Moose Junction. The 66 tent cabins have two permanent log walls and two weather-proofed canvas walls and roof, with two sets of pull-down bunks (four beds total), a wood-burning stove for heat, and lighting. Bedding is not included and bathrooms are a shared bathhouse nearby, so this is closer to a step up from tent camping than a resort stay. It runs about $105 a night for 2026, and the season is short: May 22 through September 7. Reservations go through Recreation.gov, not the lodge company's own site.
Fireside Resort
Fireside sits on Moose Wilson Road in Wilson, Wyoming, about 6 miles from downtown Jackson and a similar distance from Teton Village. Its freestanding log cabins are the closest thing to true glamping near the park: private bathrooms, real beds and porches, without the campground bathhouse. Normally the shortest way into the park from here is north up Moose-Wilson Road to the Moose entrance, but that stretch, between the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve and Moose, was closed as of September 2026, so the drive in currently runs through Jackson and the main Moose entrance station instead. Check the park's current road conditions before you rely on the direct route.
Teton Peaks Resort
On the Idaho side of Teton Pass in Tetonia, Teton Peaks Resort mixes glamping tents, lodge suites and small cabins on open ground with Teton Range views. It is about 41 miles and roughly an hour from Jackson, on one of the more scenic drives in the area, over Teton Pass itself. This is the option if you want a quieter base away from Jackson's summer traffic and do not mind the extra drive time into the park each day.
Which One to Pick
Colter Bay if you want to wake up inside the park and do not need a private bathroom. Fireside if you want a real cabin close to Jackson's restaurants and are fine with the current detour through town. Teton Peaks if quiet and a mountain-pass drive matter more than proximity, or if Jackson's summer lodging prices have already pushed you toward Idaho.
